“Dear friends: We had a meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2012 with Mayor Alemanno, and the Roman Superintendent Broccoli as well as numerous other competent authorities. Together it was decided that the association is to stay where it has been for the last twenty or so years. Two conditions have been set for this to be possible. One is that a commission nominated by the Archaeological Superintendent is to determine the restoration necessary to the advantage of both the monuments and the cats. The second is that we find a sponsor to pay for the cost. This is a definite step in the right direction, and we hope they act quickly before the elections.”
