Our 10th Annual Blessings Party was a success!

Friends of Roman Cats10th Annual ‘Blessing Our Animals Give Us’ was spectacular! Thanks to everyone who participated either as a donor, patron, attendee or an active supporter.The latter includes our Board and the great people who helped with the heavy lifting of setting up, cooking, running the kitchen, the wine, food, check-in and merchandise tables, and everything that made it run so smoothly. Museo staff member Claudia is a joy to work with and the Italo-American Museo is such a great venue. Much appreciation to our string trio as well as Cat Team member, Janice Ortega, for the wonderful harp music she played to wind down the evening.

The success of our Blessings party is a great example of how our Board members’ bonds with their own special animals has brought us into and ever-widening community of like-minded people. The Blessing Our Animals Give Us is the blessing of community.

We loved seeing various members of local rescue groups represented and the SF/SPCA staff who were there. Thanks again to all our donors! They are listed below. Please support all the animal-friendly businesses among them.

Through our Blessings Party and other donations, everything Friends of Roman Cats makes will go directly to help Italian cat groups with their tireless spay and neuter efforts, as well as help Bay Area cat caretakers with their feral cats’ medical needs.

For those who have been asking, as of now we are not planning a Cats and Culture Italian tour for 2011. However, if you think this is the year you have to see the cats of Italy, let us know promptly. If we get our minimum commiitted number of 15-18 people by early summer we can make a trip happen. Regardless, stay tuned for our plans for to a 2012 Italian tour.
